Essential Functions
- Oversees project plans and timelines for technical and creative teams.
- Interprets, develops and delegates projects specific to work flow processes for technical and creative teams.
- Develops and administers budgets and performance standards as a continual improvement process.
- Maintains relationship with clients to improve services.
- Provides guidance and direction to resolve operational and production conflicts.
Primary Duties
- Develops and oversees the execution of strategies for overall interactive user experience, and manages a small team of account executives that implement these strategies for clients. The team will work to deliver the interactive pieces of the strategy.
- Serves as a leading strategic champion for space150 for effective communications and overall user experience related to interactive and new digital services.
- Collaborates with Account Services on project proposals, research projects and client status reports.
Management Duties
- Selects staff: selects people carefully; seeks to complement existing skills when appropriate.
- Promotes and supports the development of staff: demonstrates high priority and skill in developing staff. Challenges them through task assignments and high performance standards. Facilitates skill development through experience, educational opportunities, and coaching
- Ensures effective performance management: manages both results and behaviors by setting and communicating clear job expectations with all of staff. Provides clear, timely, meaningful feedback, including performance reviews on a bi-annually basis. Assists the employee in creating a development plan for the following year.
- Ensures effective staff communications: promotes and models effective communication through a variety of tools, e.g., staff meetings, emails, and informal discussions. Elicits feedback from staff; listens effectively
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or media disciplines. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 1-3 years interactive marketing leadership experience in an agency.
- Overall minimum of 6 years experience, ideally with 2-3 years with experience working on digital or interactive projects.
- Passion for building client relationships and mentoring junior account staff.
- Excellent verbal, written and visual communications skills, presentation skills and interpersonal communications abilities.
- Working knowledge of prevailing interactive tools and technologies, including: HTML, CSS, Flash, Web servers, content management systems, databases, development languages and frameworks, search optimization and search marketing, mobile platforms, Web metrics and analytics.
- Willingness to travel, up to 25 percent.
