Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at space150 you will ensure that our products meet the expectations of our clients and our own high standards. You will be responsible for test planning, execution, and the reporting of results to the team. You will work with closely with Project Managers and the Engineering teams to determine and apply the appropriate test effort needed for projects. You will communicate to the team the progress of testing and the known issues and risks. You will be a vital part of the project lifecycle, and actively contribute to crafting high-quality interactive experiences. QA Specialists are core members of the Engineering team.
Essential Functions
- Cross-browser testing to ensure correct appearance and functionality in all browsers
- Mobile device testing of apps and sites on all platforms
- Fully document defects found during testing
- Analyze the product documentation and the product to plan the testing effort needed
- Test several projects simultaneously, with the appropriate level of effort for each
- Assist with the estimation of time needed to test a project
- Assist with ongoing support for solutions and products
- Analyze and communicate risks associated with testing progress.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years QA experience, preferably in an agency setting
- Competency with all desktop platforms and browsers
- Experience with testing on mobile devices
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Make responsible decisions that are considerate of timelines, milestones, and budget.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Able to act in a collaborative team environment, to show initiative and take ownership of the team's work.
