As a Flash Developer at space150, you will be a valued member of our Creative Tech team. Creative Tech is a progressive, forward-thinking team that is responsible for the front-end development of all of space150’s interactive initiatives. Creative Tech is at the hub of all projects; team members work with a variety of internal groups including Design, Project Management, Information Architecture, and Tech. Team members are a vital part of the project lifecycle, and actively contribute to crafting high-quality interactive experiences.

This position is for full-time employment in our Minneapolis office. The Minneapolis development team works closely with our New York and LA offices.

Essential Functions:

1. Writes clean, efficient code
2. Passionate about online design and development
3. Able to work with other team members on a single code base
4. Willing to edit existing code, and able to interpret existing logic
5. Willing to develop using AS2 & AS3
6. Makes responsible decisions that are considerate of timelines, milestones, and budget
7. Able to clearly explain technical issues to other departments through written and verbal communication
8. Highly organized
9. Maintains a positive, friendly attitude
10. Has a portfolio that contains at least 5 pieces of representative work

Other Skills:

1. Has experience using 3rd party libraries (e.g. Tweener)
2. Has experience with Subversion
3. Possesses animation skills and an understanding of visual rhythm and motion design
4. Is resourceful and enjoys sharing knowledge with other team members
5. Understands fundamental design and typography principles
6. Has previous experience working within an agency environment
7. Has experience designing and developing sites using HTML, CSS, and behavioral JavaScript
8. Maintains attention to detail when translating design decisions into code
9. Understands FAUST and concepts of progressive enhancement
10. Has 3 years of development experience

Education:

Degree in Web and Flash Development from an accredited school.
