3M makes premium wraps and tints that help consumers personalize their vehicles. They needed a way of standing out from the competition that simply show square swatches.
The Challenge
3M's challenge was simple - provide customers with the ability to truly visualize the reflective and color changing properties of 3M premium wraps wraps on vehicles from different light sources. To put it simply, help them visualize the wrap options so that they can be confident in their selection.
Oh, by the way, this new experience must be browser based and be as effective on mobile as it is on desktop.

Today, the web is personalized and tailored, but few brands in the automotive category have been able to crack the code on inspiring purchase through a tailored experience.
To help visualize all the bold ways 3M can tailor a vehicle, we created a custom experience that puts the creative power in users’ hands. The intuitive, easy-to-use tool allows users to select and customize their vehicle and experience all options before finding the perfect wrap for them.
Results
space150 designed, developed and delivered an innovative and immersive in-browser application that feels like a powerful mobile app. Not only does it make shopping fun and exciting, it educates buyers to ensure they pick the right wrap for them. This tool doubles as a sales tool for B2C applications all over the world and contains a content management system to ensure new wraps can be easily added and old wraps can be easily retired.
